As the Institute's governing body, Council states policies that identify:

  • What the organization is to achieve and for whom;
  • What the limits of ethics and prudence in operations are;
  • How Council governs;
  • How Council delegates to the Institute's CEO.

These policies must comply with the Agrology Profession Act and Regulations, and the Institute Bylaws. Council reviews their policies on an ongoing basis. The most recent set of policies are posted here.

As practitioners in agrology, AIA members bring a unique perspective to the Institute's direction. Council regularly seeks input from the membership in determining the Institute's Bylaws and Council stated policies.

You may provide your input by emailing the Council Chair .
