To change designation from ATT to AIT, there are two possibilities, depending on the education the ATT possesses.

  • If the ATT has a diploma or applied degree, enroll with an accredited university to receive a 4-year, 120-credit Baccalaureate degree in agriculture or environmental science. The university will advise how much education will transfer to the degree. Once the degree is completed, request from the university a set of transcripts to be mailed to the AIA office. Please notify the AIA office that the transcripts have been requested.
  • If the ATT has a 4-year, 120-credit degree in agriculture or environmental science, but was not approved as AIT due to course deficiencies. Email the AIA office to identify and describe potential courses to fulfill the credit deficiencies. Once the courses are completed, request from the educational institution a set of transcripts to be mailed to the AIA office. Please notify the AIA office that the transcripts have been requested.

Course deficiencies and/or practice area(s) core knowledge subjects may be met by successfully completing AIA-Approved courses .
